Holidays

Yesterday, 12th April, I have resigned from my current organization and soon to join another organization.. had a great farewell... gifts included a watch, my favourite Shirdi Sai Baba idol and believe me.. a trainset... thanks to each one of them..

I wanted to utilize these holidays on trainspotting/railfanning.. Wanted to travel to Bangalore.. but my friend there advised me to stay out of Bangalore for this weekend.. you all know that Bangalore is now turbulent because of Dr. Rajkumar's demise..

I think I wud have to spend the time here in Chennai only..

Extreme Photography

Folks

I have a passion for Trains, Photography and I am an ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. I am also a member of the Chennai Chapter of IRFCA - the Indian Railways Fan Club (http://www.irfca.org).

This week we had lots of photos added newly to Photo Gallery (Uploads Section)... the newbies included the Heritage Steam run in Mumbai and in Delhi... but the most impressive of them are the ones taken in Bhor Ghats (Pune - Mumbai route) by IRFCA Pune member Ashish Kulvelkar.

He went on a solo trek to the Bhor Ghats this week and captured extreme photos of Indian Railways.. Here are a couple of them - courtesy Ashish.

This is a view of the Behran Plateau. You can see three locos on the viaduct... The locos are about to enter the Tunnel 22.

Here is the 1007 Mumbai Pune Deccan Express..

Reckless Cyclists!

Folks

This morning while driving by car to office, I was stunned with the reckless driving of a cyclist..

At a signal, before me was a Tata tempo, who was waiting to take a right turn and I was waiting to take the left .. the signal changed to green.. so the tempo took the right.. i just put the first gear and was accelerating, this idiotic hero on a bicycle charged towards me from the opposite direction and turned to to his right without even looking left or right..

He thought if there is road, he can drive along.... for a second I thought I am going to run over him as I was accelerating.. somehow I managed to stop the car.. had I not applied the brake, my car would make him a road pizza..

I shedded out a few words at him.. its going to be of no use.. they wont change.. may god help them incase they land up in similar situations...

Amazing Tattuvams!

Today I happened to grab two amazing Tattuvams while listening to the Radio Mirchi Total Udaans..

"Kovil mani'ai namba adicha sattam varum,
Kovil mani nambalai adicha ratham varum"

"Switch ai potta Fan odum,
Fanai potta Switch oduma?"

Cool ones..

Drive on the GST Road

Today, I took a ride on the GST road in my Indigo.. the intention was to visit my friend in Chrompet.. inturn I visited the Sai Baba Temple at Gowrivakkam.. and catched the glimpse of the evening Arathi..

While returning back.. I was stunned with the lighting on the GST road near the Chrompet MIT Gate.. the newly constructed flyover is worth a praise!!!!

man.. the lighting made me think that I am not in Chennai..

New light poles are said from the Airport towards Kathipara junction.. a section of the lighting is lit.. would encourage you to check it out!
